We are hiring exemplary personal chefs for our established SF Bay Area clients
Join our thriving team of chefs who honor the seasons through providing nourishing, caring experiences for our clients with dinner parties, weekly in-home meal prep.
Our personal chefs offer meal preparation for clients’ weekly meals as well as intimate food experiences from 6 to 60 people. Our chefs take a client’s tastes and dietary constraints into consideration to create personal menus. After they’ve completed the meals, they are responsible for: safe packaging, accurate labeling, convenient storage of prepared items in their clients’ kitchen, and thorough clean-up.
Responsibilities Include:
- Collaborate in the design of festive seasonal menus for dinner parties
- Build strong interpersonal relationships with our clients and our team
- Be an enthusiastic ambassador of our values and brand to current and future clients
- Own the personal chef experience end to end working in our clients’ homes with autonomy around communication, planning, and shopping

We are Seeking Chefs:
- Who see their work with The Heirloom Chef as aligning with the trajectory of their career
- Who have at least 2-3 years experience in the culinary field, either restaurant or other venues (catering, youth health education, retreat center cooking, etc.)
- Who have expertise preparing a wide range of foods; ie: culinary school or on the job training, and can cook with all types of ingredients.
- Who are looking for full-time work
- Who are ServeSafe certified
- Who have excellent communication and service skills that translate well into working with clients in their homes
- With specific experience cooking for therapeutic/allergen/intolerance-based diets
- With access to a reliable car to transport food to and from clients’ homes
- With a clean driving record
- With an ability to pass a background check
Compensation:
You will be a W-2 employee, yet own your own time with our per client fee structure.
Typical base salary is $45 – 60k / 4-5 day work week (depending upon client load).
Chefs may also add dinner parties.
